When you meet someone do you forget their name but remember what car they drive?

I have this problem with the people at the dog park. I remember the dogs name the first time but it takes months to learn the people's name.
I don't really have this problem with cars and people though. I just don't remember peoples names that well. . .

I can remember people's cars better than their faces or names. Especially the vehicle has been modified and/or is unique.

I don't know 7/8 of the people in my neighbourhood, but I can tell you where all of the cars live and what engine they have.

No. I hate to sound car-racist, but I meet too many people owning Toyota Accords and Honda Camrys and they all look the same to me. :)

I have that exact problem when I go to PDX C&C or an Audi club meet. I know faces and cars, but not always names, etc.

I remember meet somebody that DD a Silvia Varietta at the carwash. And since then if I met that guy again, I'll always call him "A man with a white Varietta".
